Happy Birthday, Sam Neill!

Today is the birthday of one of my favorite actors: Sam Neill!

Perhaps most famous for portraying Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park (and JP III), but also beloved for The Hunt for Red October, In The Mouth of Madness, Alcatraz, Event Horizon, The Omen III, Daybreakers, Memoirs of an Invisible Man, The Dish, Bicentennial Man, etc, etc!

You have 6.5 hours of $14 tees left. I have added approximately two dozen shirts to my TeePublic store:

Many of these are brand new to anywhere, so please take a look.

Jurassic Park (1993): Isla Nublar Gift Shop Merchandise (Set Dressing)

Retouched screencaps (these are very large PNGs):

The “White Outline” dinosaur products are real, off-the-shelf merchandise (but not JP-licensed), occasionally with a JP sticker slapped on them. The stuffed dinos are real, off-the-shelf stuffed animals, but not from JP. The lunch boxes appear to be blanks with a JP sticker on them. The book is based on the real making of book, but likely with a mocked-up cover. The large size and proportions seem correct. The real book is approx. 8.75 x 11 x 0.5 inches. The authors are Shay and Duncan.

I suspect the shirts are real JP merch, as they have the copyright / trademark disclaimer text inside the bottom of the yellow border of the JP logo. The Jeep door graphics, for example, do not have this.

“Merchandising, merchandising, merchandising – where the real money from the movie is made!”

There is fan fiction, and cosplay and news about the upcoming films.

Anyway, a few weeks ago, I sent her some JP stuff, and she was kind enough to send me the following in return:

My favorite dinosaur combined with my favorite paleontologist. But do they move in herds?
