Weird Tales 1932 Masthead Shirt

Speaking of Two-Gun Bob, this is based on the logotype for Weird Tales, as seen on the December 1932 cover, the first published appearance of Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian:

Obviously, mine is stacked, to better fit the proportions of a shirt. “Weird Tales” is hand drawn, the tagline is typeset. WT is not just a compressed version of my earlier art. Every letter has been re-drawn by hand.

Available wherever finer fandom shirts are sold.

Weird Tales Logotype (Feb. 1928)

Chose this date because that’s the issue that The Call of Cthulhu ran in. I may do the version from the first Conan story later. The canonical background color is bright red.

All hand-drawn from a scan, by the way. No auto-traced garbage here. Very tedious, especially the tagline text at the bottom. Available from They Who Shall Not Be Named.
